Yes I do, but it depends on how much the bill is, and how good of a job they did. I pay $54.00 and $5.00 for a tip, if they did a good job. I'ts real expensive where I live, most people don't pay that much. Let's say your bill was $15.00 to $20.00 then I would give them $2.00 to $3.00. Hope that helps you. Susan IP: Logged |

YES! Sadly 80% of the people that take their dogs to groomers do not. Grooming can be a very unrewarding business. You get a dog. The dog might be the sweetest thing at home but chances are it hates you...or at least doesnt like you near as much as anyone else. The owner comes to pick it up and assumes their dog has behaved like an angel and cant imagine that their dog would even consider growling or biting you. If the haircut isnt absolutely perfect...many will throw a fit even though they asked for a certain style haircut just forgot that they did not want it "that short" for example. Groomers speak a different language about haircuts than people do so it is often difficult determining exactly what the owner wants. Then most people do not tip the groomer. I would say 10 to 15% is fair. For a simple nail clip....a buck is nice...this service is often done by a groomer in training and they dont make any money and often have the dirtiest of jobs. For a 50 dollar haircut...5+ is nice...the better they do...tip them an extra buck or two. They will remember this next time...I promise you. IP: Logged |
