I was out side playing with Nala today on my lunch break and I was about to throw her a toy when she jumped up and her head smacked my wrist and hand! I went to the emergency room and my wrist is sprained and my finger is fractured! It really hurts and is hard to type!! (cant wait to go and work on my computer at work tomorrow) I think that is now very much so time to go go obidence school so she can learn not to jump up all the time! I feel bad cause she is just a puppy but I never had a dog that had such a hard head before!! Anyways though when I came home she started licking my hand and sat on my lap! I know that when it happened she knew something bad happend to me because I started crying and screaming in pain! The poor thing! Leslie IP: Logged |

Wow! I am so sorry you are in such pain. I hope the it eases up on you really soon and I have no doubt sweet little Nala knew something was wrong right away. Our pets can be very intuitive. I hope this is not too off topic, but do you own one of those computer devices with a head set where you can speak the words that need typed and it will type the words for you? You could sure use one of them right now. Are you sure you will be able to work without further exacerbating your injuries? I would take some time to recoup before going back to work if possible. I hope you feel better really soon. love, overprotective annie lol IP: Logged |

Oh, you poor thing. She definatley knows she has done something or at least that something is wrong with your hand. My doctors tells me it is a very common thing for dogs to get excited and jump up and bust your lip or break your nose. Especially the large dogs. AS you know it was just an accident. I had stitches on my lower lip because I spooked my poodle. But she knew after that I was hurt. She just lay there looking sad. IP: Logged |
