Hello Everyone,
I have a 6 month old lab puppy. I purchased her from a local rescue organization. For the last 4 days I have had to take her out to use to potty every other hour early in the morning. Her stool is loose sometimes, other times she appears to be straining. The only dietary change I have made is with her chew strips. Is there any suggestions you can offer?

Thanks

It could be the stress of adjusting to a new environment, but I would call the vet and tell them your concerns. A check-up probably wouldn't be a bad idea. You could also call the rescue organization for advice. Especially if the dog was fostered in a home, they should have some idea of what is normal for that dog and if she has had problems in the past.

What sort of chew strips are you giving her?

Let us know how she does!

keep checking her stool, if any blood is present take her to the vet immediately. Try changing her chews, that could be the cause as well.

Give her lots of love, and I would have a routine health check done ASAP.
