Hi! I have an 8 month old PUg puppy. He likes to go into the cat box and take out the cat poop. I haven't seen him eat it, but I have a feeling that he does eat some. I think this is so disgusting! How bad is this for a dog and how can I stop this bad, gross behavior? HELP!

What are you feeding your pug? My aussie did this for a while and my vet said to switch to a better food, so I did and she stopped. She also went after elk poop in the yard- guess they are after the protiens. We are on Wellness for now and she seems more satisfied. He said you can sprinkle a little pepper spray on dog doo in the yard, if that is a problem. I did this with elk droppings and it worked. You might also want to try a better grade of cat litter- something that really coats and clumps cat poop so the texture turns off your dog, if nothing else. It is gross, I know- now if I can just stop my dog from licking my cats rear-end! :0
