This is the Real World WAKE UP!! Check this site out. A friend of mine made it who deals with this everyday as does every rescuer out there. We see the horrors we know the life of death matters of getting a transport run filled because we know if we dont get the volunteers what will happen. We know that every life we save saves more than just that animals life it also makes room for another one to come in and stay a bit. We know that we can't save them all. But with education and people being more aware of what happens due to irresponsible breeding and overpopulation we can put Steve the author of this site out of a job. But there are many people out there that have to have papers and feel the need to breed irresposibly. The result is this site, the result is animals being unnecessarily killed for the simple reason that there just are not enough people that care!! http://www.petadvantage.net/mypet/rescue/sr4488407/ IP: Logged |

Tis is a harsh reality portrayed in what can only be described as quite a hard hitting slideshow. Trouble is people will never be persuaded to adopt rather than buying from breeders/pet shops as they cannot always find the particular breed they desire IP: Logged |

Those sites are very sad Unfortunalty, I think that too many people just don't think about this sad reality and some of those that do just don't care. Recently there was a puppy mill raided here. The SPCA took something like 97 animals including many dogs, a few cats and some other animals. Many of them were unsocialized which will make it very hard for them to be adopted out without a lot of work to try and make them sociable. And why did this happen?? Because the owner wanted to make $$! Its very sad and disturbing. IP: Logged |

you know i don't understand how this world got so messed up. i really wish that something could be done about how alot of these poor animals that live in this crazy world get treated.no animal should be dumped off because it don't listen too well or because the owner just got bored with it.and it makes me sick to my stomach when i see pictures of abused innocent animals!there's laws against it but people still do it how can you be so cold to hurt a defenceless animal that could have offered you unconditional love.what some people don't understand is that they hurt the same way we do!or is it just that they don't care?how could they not? read the poem at the bottom of the page it's the saddest thing i've ever readhttp://www.angelfire.com/pa5/rap/shelter.html http://www1.sarawak.com.my/org/sspca/abused.html [This message has been edited by iluvmypup (edited 07-22-2003).] IP: Logged |

OMG!! That was disgusting! All I can say is that whoever did that to those poor animals was seriously born without a heart. If they can do things like that to an animal just think about what they are capable of doing to people...our next generation of serial killers/murderers. IP: Logged |
