I RECENTLY WENT TO MY LOCAL PET STORE TO BUY PET FOOD FOR MY 6 MONTH OLD PAPILLON MALE, WHO I GOT 2 MONTHS AGO, HE WAS ON PURINA PUPPY CHOW BUT I WANTED TO SWITCH TO SOMETHING BETTER. THE OWNER OF THE PET STORE RECOMMENED CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE DOGS SOUL WHICH IS MADE BY DIAMOND AND HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IT WAS A VERY GOOD DOG FOOD HIGHLY RECOMMENED USING IT. SO I BOUGHT A SMALL BAG OF PUPPY FOOD AND I AM CURRENTLY MIXING THAT W/PURINA PUPPY CHOW TO EVENTUALLY SWITCH, AND THEN I HAVE A LARGE BAG OF ADULT CHICKEN SOUP. ANY ONE EVER HEARD OF THIS DOG FOOD AND IF SO ANYTHING GOOD? IP: Logged |

Hi, I looked up the ingredients it looks like a really good dog food. It doesnt have any starches like corn, peanut hulls even grains which are not good for dogs. I just did extensive research on dog food since my lab has had so many health problems. It looks like the food you buy at most pet stores, even the natural ones are mostly filler and made with gross stuff. He is is on something similar, so great way to start as a puppy, I am now going to a holistic vet who says most the cats and dogs ills are from the processed food they eat. Good luck with your papillon! IP: Logged |

My girlfriend just switched to this food too, she said her dog loves it and I read the ingredient list and it looked pretty darn good. I won't be able to use it for my Poodle, cause he needs a specific ingredient in his food that this one doesn't offer, and both of my other dogs are in Flyball and agility and I like to keep them on an endurance formula, they need that extra umph! But it seems it might be a great choice for people wanting to switch to a better food. IP: Logged |

My cats have been on Chicken Soup for over 3 months now and so far Im happy with it. I did not switch my dogs to it because Im very happy with what they are eating now but I did get a 2lb. sample bag just to try and they loved it.There are a few people on the AOL canine nutrition board that are using it on their dogs and are happy with it.
