Hi, I got a 9 week-old male yorkie puppy one week ago. He is so playful and cute! Since he is too small(1.3lbs) and the weather is too cold, I decided to houstrain him using puppy litter pan. I keep him in the kitchen with a small crate with blanket in one corner (with food and water), and puppy litter pan in the other corner little bit far from the crate. After a week, now he started poopoo in that litter pan,,,, but unfortunately he doesn't seem to want to peepee in there. instead, he rather peepee on the kitchen floor or on the carpet when I let him out to living room for play. I bring him to the litter pan every one hour when I am at home and he eliminates there, but that's it. He doesn't go to the litter pan for his own...only for poopoo. What should I do with it? I'm a graduate student..so I'm out for work whole day and get back home in the evening. So the training begins from the evening till the bed time and also during the weekend. I hope I could spend more time with him but it's very hard for now. Will it be a problem? Does anybody know how to salve this mystery?? (for the reference, it's my first puppy and I'm still learning about a puppy....help me~~) IP: Logged |
