I am hoping this was a breeding that you planned on to start with. In most planned breedings, the breeder will have them mate at least 2 times, and sometimes skip only 1 day. If you have them just freely together during the heat, the spread on the matings which you state you only seen once. Chances are there were more. Bad part about this is if alot of days are skipped, there could be some puppies whelped 2. Have the vet do a fecal exam, health check 3. The vet later will be able to do a ulta sound to let you know if you GOT pups on the way. 4. I would also take a fecal sample of your male also to the vet for a exam. Puppy chow may not be what you need, they make many different dog foods for Pregnant dogs and nursing mothers, but once again I would talk to you vet and ask his opinion. Good luck ) IP: Logged |

I dont know why but part of my reply disappeared, when I was stating about the time frame of breeding I was saying that some pups could be born premature if there was a large spread of days and days you might not of witnessed a breeding. IP: Logged |
