My son recently got mad about having to take out are beagle. He jerked her collar, and she started throwing up. What should I do? Will she be alright? What's wrong with her? IP: Logged |

My first suggestion would be maybe a dog was not a good choice. My second suggestion might be buy a poster with a dog on it. Third question is why did your son get mad to start with, dont have to answer but I feel that is the most important reason and you did not state why>? Thanks Doc H IP: Logged |

Stress can often make dogs ill, just as it can humans. Abuse is a pretty stressful situation, and if someone was jerking you around by your neck I'm sure you might feel a little sick too. If there was no damage done to the neck, and it was only a fright reaction the vomiting should have stopped by now, if it hasn't and the dog is still not well take it to the vet. The most important thing is that you are a responsible pet owner, part of that responsibility is keeping your pet free of harm especially within it's own household. I hope the pup is okay, and not to sound preachy, but your son needs to learn it's not okay to take our feeling out on the defenseless, human or otherwise. IP: Logged |
