Can anyone tell me about PUGS. I saw the cutest Miniature pug the other day and had to tie myself back from getting her. I probably WOULD have gotten her if I had known what to look for but thankfully I had no idea what I was looking at. I just knew she was CUTE. I'm also wondering about her size. She was 8 weeks old and just about 1 1/2 pounds but she was all there and running around like her regular sized littermates who looked to be about 2 -3 lbs. It was strange but adorable all at once!!!!

Hi sandandgel~

I don't know a lot about that particular breed, but I have "met" several. All of the pugs I have met were truly pleasant dogs with a great temperament. That probably isn't much help to you, but I just thought I would share.

I would also recommend you take a look at these two links about pugs, I think they will provide you with some useful info.:

Hope those links are of some assistance to you!

Sounds like that was the runt of the litter. My brother recently bought a fawn(black and tan) pug pup. I think they grow to be around 15 to twenty lbs. This is just my perspective. They are quite muscular and compact. The ones I've met have dazzled me with their sweet personalities.

Pugs.. oh my I just adore them! My sister has 4 girls (3 fawn 1 black) and a 14 week old boy (fawn) that shes trying to place in a show home (shes not sure if she wants to keep him and show, or just place him in a show home). They are just the best little dogs. They are full of personality!! I'll go over there and just sit and laugh at them for hours. They are little clowns.
There is no such thing as a mini pug.. Some are smaller then others. Libby, one of my sister's girls is 12 lbs. She just had a little baby girl (fawn just like her momma).
My sister loves talking pugs with people.. If you would like some more information just e-mail me and I can give you her e-mail/website addy.

My e-mail is ownedbyachi@aol.com

Ok ... I DIDN"T take the pug but it was REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL hard. I know there is no such thing as the mini pug.... but I was trying to makethe little baby runt sound cuter to myself because I wanted to take her so bad LOL

I just have never seen a pug so TINY and when she was romping beside her littermates she just looked like a little doll for them to play with (sigh). I talked myself out of it by just telling myself she was probably not as healthy as she should be ! maybe not true but I told myself that anyway ....

I'm a proud mother of a pug.Shes on the small size 14lbs. small head too! I've bred her three times, this is her last litter, 2 pups ones alot smaller then the other.Father was the smallest I could find. His owner called him a tom thumb pug. but to me he's just smaller then most. They make adorable pets, they get along with children and other dogs well. Mine barks seldom, and is a quiet beggar. They are huskier then most small breeds so kids can't hurt them as much. But if you cant stand shedding this is not the dog for you! But their love is worth all that sweater rolling etc. I could talk all day on this breed. I'll shut up!
