Update on my previous topic; Poo Puppy Help.

I've consulted with a veterinarian and he's give me a clear plan for caring for my Precious and her brother Doodles. Both puppies will be cared for by me in my home until they reach 6 weeks. I am an at home Mom so this makes the most since. We have switched their formula from infant human baby formula to infant puppy formula. They have been consuming 2 tablespoons or 1 oz. every three hours. AND, our babies have their days and nights mixed up!!! LOL! I was a tad worried when they slept all day but, they certainly came alive this evening. After their last feeding they frolicked in their bassinet with each other for about a half hour. They pooped them little selves out. They are such a delight!

I'm still green to this so any comments and/or advice is still very welcome.

Thanks,
Sunday

That sounds like the best solution. Thankfully your friend/neighbor agrees. They really are so young. I bet a nice heat lamp or something like that would be good.

MORE UPDATES!

I discovered that my Precious is not full Pekapoo. Her father is a purebreed Shih Tzu (with papers) and her mother comes from a great linage of Pekapoos. You should have heard me trying to explain this in church this morning.. LOL! " Our new puppy is a Pekapoo' Shih Tzu." Try syaing that five times fast. =)

The puppies are doing very well today. We were up every 2 hours last night and they are consuming more. They are up to 3 tablespoons a infant PUPPY formula. Trying to feed them both was like feeding twins. They were both wide awake, whimpering and HUNGRY. I had to enlist the assistant of my daughter. Then after every feeding last night they stayed awake playing for about a half hour. Now thier back to eating and sleeping. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting them on a more normal schedule? Is this even possible? Can I keep them up for 30 minutes after each daytime feeding so they will be tuckered out at night?

Last but certainly not least, the noses are all clear today!!!!!! I am so happy about that! The Vet told me that they might clear up after starting the puppy formula because the human formula has more dairy in it then the mothers milk. But, I was still worried that it was something more serious.

I feel just like a new mom again. I'm rambling on like Kathy Lee about Cody. Like all of you really care to hear all this. And I'm worried sick about each and every little thing.

Well, Hope I didn't bore you all to much.
