Since this is the "toy dogs" forum, I know you all love smaller dogs

I was just curious why you chose a smaller dog vs a big dog. Or, maybe you have both?

Well the reason I got a smaller dog was mainly because I have always wanted a toy poodle. And that is because they are so adorable and cute. And because they are small enough to sit on my lap, climb on the couch, and great for an apartment. If I had a huge house with a yard I would get a big dog also. There is just something I love about those small dogs!!

i got a small dog because i think the smaller ones are easier to take care of they eat less then the bigger breeds and they are easier to bathe.and of course the cuddling thing it's not easy to have a big dog sitting on your lap.i like big dogs but i prefer small.

I think that my answer would be a combo of Nessa and luvppups. Plus watching a poodle run and play is so funny. I get such a kick out of it. My other dog is a twenty four lb terrier mix.

I have a medium dog and a small dog. I actually prefer medium-large dogs but I have nothing against small dogs I probably would not have chosen a small breed but I took Sebastian in because he needed a new home...I love him and think he is a joy to live with.

Actully I have small dogs and large dogs. I love them both! They both have those great things about them u cant do with others. Like a big dog will just plunge right in the creek to fetch a stick, while my little maltese i can just grab and go somewhere! =)

I have both a small dog, Toy Poodle and a large dog, Standard Poodle. I like the small one because of the lap sitting and cuddling and my big one for rough play and exercise. The big one is good for playing with the kids too. My small one likes the kids but seems to prefer me and other adults where the big guy likes everyone. I think big and little dogs each have their own pros and cons.
