Hi guys,
I am near the breaking point and don't know what to do. 4 months ago we adopted a 2 y.o. boy Oliver, we also have 12 y.o. Bonnie. Since the day we brought him home she has hated him. I have tried everything to get them to accept each other but she still freaks whenever she sees him. She hisses and spits and growls like a wild animal. For his part, he just meows a lot and gets upset. We have kept them separated, the two times we did let them together he jumped on her which I'm sure added to the problem. We introduced them slowly, fed them on other sides of a door, had him in a crate with her around, gave them each Rescue Remedy, had him on a harness....nothing seems to work. If anyone can think of anything else to try, please help. This morning she saw him through a glass door and went nuts, which only gets him upset and he wants to get at her. I don't expect them to be buddies, but if they could peacefully co-exist I would be as happy as anything. I don't want to give him up but I don't want this to be the way of life forever. Thanks.
