Just when I think I've seen everything my cat turns around and amazes me even more.

Latey I've been waking up to the sound of munching and chrunching in the morning. I open my eyes and Amaretto is sitting beside my pillow, with her head inside the pillow case trying to eat my pillow. I toss her off the bed only to have her back a few seconds later trying yet again to eat my pillow. Then I go crafty and flipped the pillow arounf so the opening in the case faced away from her. When I next open my eyes there she is, eating my pillow againt.

Hello. Does she do this all the time or was this a one time thing?

She now does this all the time (only in the morning just before we wake up) but it only started about a month ago. Before then she never chewed on the pillow.

Hello. Is she using her paws to knead on the pillow as well as grasping it with her mouth? Are these new pillows? Feather pillows?

She is not using her paws and these are not new pillows. I wake up to her practically "eating" the pillow. She is trying to tear the lining.

I suppose you could try using other pillows to see if it's actually the pillows or if it's behavioral.
