I recently adopted a 4 month old kitten and when she had been checked up by the doctors they didn't find anything wrong with her other than earmites.

Now today she is in getting spayed and the doctor told me she had a heart murmer and that I should go and get all these tests done, that she could have potential problems after the surgery but also have problems regardless.

I can't afford to get her checked but I would like to know if anyone knows how survivable this is.

I'm terrified I'm going to lose her, but information always helps.

depends on the severity of the heart murmur...I had a cat survive with one for many years but it wasn't all that bad. I didn't have to pay for lots of tests though (but this was also 20+ years ago).

If you can't get her tested get her spayed anyway...you won't want her getting pregnant.

I'd find out how much the tests are gonna run and see if you can set up a payment plan with the vet.

and she's cute

She's getting spayed right now, that wasn't an option, I knew she had to so I didn't end up with a preggers kitty.
