Hi all. my kitty has been throwing up her food right after she eats. I tried to switch brands of food but that did not work. She also pees on my bed early in the morning. She has done it 4 times in a week and a half. I dont know if the two things conected. I have an apptointment for the vet today. I just wanted to know if anyone ever had this problem. I will let you know what the vet says.

I have had the throwing up problem. When my cat eats too much too quickly, the throws it right up. Maybe you could try feeding her less at a time.

The peeing thing i'm not sure about.

But I do think it is a good idea to take her to the vet.

Hello. Do you feed your kitty only hard food? The reason I ask, is that some cats (for various reasons) will gobble up hard food too quickly. They end up eating too much too fast. By the time it reaches the stomache the dry food quickly expands (from contact with the stomache juices). This is fine, if the cat has not eaten too much. However, if it has the over abundance of hard food in the stomache it will cause the cat to throw up. It's the bodies way of trying to rid itself of too much food in the stomache.

I would suggest you feed your kitty quality soft food as well as hard food. However, with the hard food, only have small amounts out at a time that way your kitty can not over eat. There is always the chance that this may be due to a sensitive stomache.

Did you ask your vet about her urinating on your bed? What caused the fever?

My vet suggested putting a couple of golf balls in the dish with the dry food to slow them down. It works.

Your kitty could be very sensitive towards a lot of the ingredients in conventional cat food. There are a lot of preservatives and flavourings that are not natural in a cat's diet. Try something that's free from all of that, there are some good brands out there but I use Nature's Variety.... you can find it here:
www.naturesvariety.com

My cats absolutely love it. I can actually see the difference, usually IAMS and Science Diet leave this sticky, oily feel to the base of the bowl (i think that's from the restaurant grease they spray on the food) but this one leaves the bowl pretty clean.

Cheers.
