Hi guys,

I just brought home Guppy, a persian male. He had a bad wound on his leg, took months to heal, and was abandoned.

I have 2 existing cats, Pixie (female) and Snuggles (male). Both are domestic short hair.

Snuggles is a male, about a year, and has a very good nature. He is an extremely loving cat that purrs all the time. He is easy going and has a good temperament.

Pixie on the other hand, the female (2 years) is very wary. She's the dominant one.

Then there's Guppy, who seems to have a bit of a haughty attitude. Typical persian, maybe. He seems to be friendly with Snuggles, but he just attacked him all the sudden. I put him in his cage. There was a lot of hissing and growling.

Is this normal? They were playing alright for the past few days.

What can I do to help them mix?

Thank you.

what seems like ruff play to us is ok, but when hissing and growling start then things are probably a little out of hand

Hello. I read your post a few times, but I didn't understand if you just got Guppy or if you've had him for a while. Is his leg healed right now?
