One of my cats has dandruff on her back. Any ideas what causes it and how to get rid of it?

Hello. This is a link to the different types of cat skin disorders. Another member posted this site a while back.

The reason I posted the above post was for you to try and figure out if it was dandruff or perhaps something else. If your cat has Mange (walking dandruff) you can click on this link and it tells you how it's to be treated. Keep us posted and let us know what you think your cat has. http://ky.essortment.com/mangedogscats_rkon.htm

If its just normal dandruff it could just be from dry skin. Try brushing your kitty a lot and feeding a food that has fatty acids in it. The fatty acids will help moisturize the skin so it wont be so dry. Some cats have areas that they can't reach to clean on their back, especially if they are overweight. Brushing this area will help a lot.
