One of my cats has dandruff on her back. Any ideas what causes it and how to get rid of it?

The reason I posted the above post was for you to try and figure out if it was dandruff or perhaps something else. If your cat has Mange (walking dandruff) you can click on this link and it tells you how it's to be treated. If its just normal dandruff it could just be from dry skin. Try brushing your kitty a lot and feeding a food that has fatty acids in it. The fatty acids will help moisturize the skin so it wont be so dry. Some cats have areas that they can't reach to clean on their back, especially if they are overweight. Brushing this area will help a lot.

something else you can do if it is dandruff is run a humidifier and try salmon oil.
