Hi there, we got a kitten that's 6wks old... we trained her with her kittylitter and she was drinking from a bottle and now is slowly trying to eat... we noticed that she started to drag her back legs 2days ago.. and it got worse...... we took her to the vets yesterday and he told us that she has injured her spine... although he said that there is nothing to worry about and gave her an injection... she was looking better last nite... but today is looking weak again.... and doesn't really walk too much..... can anyone suggest anything?? Hello. Welcome to the site. I'm glad you took your kitty to the vet. There may be a chance that what the vet meant by 'nothing to worry about' is that her spinal injury is not serious enough to cause permanent damage. Your kitty needs time for the spinal cord to heal and the internal swelling to go down. Just give your kitty a lot of love, but don't pick her up (until she act better), as you want her spine to heal. This may take a few weeks to a few months, depending on how quickly her body can repair itself. Keep us posted and I wish your kitty a speedy recovery. IP: Logged |
