Just recently my 8 year cat Midas has started urinating a lot. I changed his litter box on Tuesday with those crystals that usually last a month and it is already saturated as of yesterday. I am going to try to get a vet appt tomorrow, but would like input on what would be causing this.

Thanks

Has your cat been drinking a ton of water lately? Is your cat possibly overweight? I only ask this because the one thing I can think of is that my sister-in-law had a cat with diabeties.

Trust me, I'm sure it could be nothing... or it could be anything. I just know that her cat drank a ton of water after he developed the diabetes and thus had to use the litterbox a lot more than usual. I think he developed the problem because he was overweight.

However, her cat was treated and everything became under control.

I'm sure that the vet will be able to help you (especially because of your quick reaction to this.)

I hope everything is okay.

lucidity, I hope it isnt diebetes, my last cat had it, but lived 7 years with it after being diagnosed. thats how I first noticed it was his unsatiable thirst. Midas has always drank a lot of water, and I havent noticed him drinking more than usual. but that make some sense since he has be eliminating liquid to go tht much
