Help me! I have 2 Siamese Cats. One is about 6 and the other 4 years old, both males and neutered. They have always played well together up until about a year ago. I will hear the younger cat crying and look to find the older one pinning the younger down and biting him usually in the chest or neck. This happens 5-6 times a day. Other than those times, they play very well together and of course sleep curled up in a big ball together. I am guessing that there is some sort of dominance problem here but I don't know what brought it on or what to do about it. He dosen't seem to be really hurting the younger cat, as soon as i break them up the younger cat runs after the older like nothing happened. But I am afraid that one day we won't be so lucky. Any advise???? Please! Thanks alot! IP: Logged |

Hello. Welcome to the site. There is a good web-site for you to read about your problem. The only thing is that the print is rather small on this link, but the information is good. Let us know if it was of any help. There are a lot of people here with great suggestions. Most of them are most likely in bed right now, so keep checking the site to see if anyone has replied. Good luck and keep us posted. http://www.sfhumanesociety.com/Forms/SolvingCatAgression.pdf IP: Logged |

I have 2 siamese cats too!!! Something you can do is put a collar with a bell on the cat that is doing the beating up...this will help alert the other cat that the bully is coming. I do this with my bluepoint now and then cause she bullies my sealpoint. After a few hours of the bell jingling I can take the collar off Tilly and she behaves for days. IP: Logged |

Actually I think it might just be a siamese thing. My Aunt had a half siamese that was always beating up on her tabby cat but most of the time they were best friends. The siamese never hurt the other cat just made sure he new what his place was. I don't really think its a problem unless one cat is getting injured. If you are getting injury problems try one of those 'happy cats' room deoderizers by feliway or just spraying the cat that is being bad with water. IP: Logged |
