We, the wife and I, have a ten year old cat that has started throwing up on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day. Sometimes the puke has grass, sometimes hair, or both. We brush the cat every day and have stopped letting the her go out side - the problem still persists. She has ruined a rug that has been replaced with a sheet ov vinyl flooring. She is eating the same food as she has always eaten. We would like to keep the cat but if the problem can not be corrected we must seriously consider getting rid of the cat. Would appreciate hearing from anyone that has any suggestion as to what might be causing this problem, and waht to do about it. We had never had any prior problem of this type with this cat, it just started all of the sudden

You're already considering getting rid of her yet I see no mention of bringing your loved one to a vet! There could be any number of problems causing this. Please bring her to a vet.

Sounds like a hairball problem, but you still need to take your cat to a vet.

I agree with going to a vet. Im sure the vet could recommend something that could help...maybe hairball treatment or special food for cats with sensitive stomaches. Puking twice a day is not normal.

How could you even consider getting rid of your cat?? You need to take him/her to a vet...PRONTO. The cat might be ill,and all you can think to do is "get rid of it" after having it for 10 years?? I feel sorry for your cat, because that's just heartless. Please take the poor thing to a vet.
