Hi again,

I just got a laser for my kitties and wow does it get them going! Even my big lazy boy. But I feel kind of bad for him because he can never 'catch' it, and he's looking for it a long time after I've put it away.

Is this game too frustrating for them?

Dont worry about them getting frustrating about it because they are natural hunters. Its no big deal if they keep searching, they are just doing what they think has to be done Once they get bored looking they will stop and move on. He will be very honest with you when he is frustrated, dont worry

Mine love it too...I also feel bad that they can't catch it so every once in a while I let them catch it...I turn it off when they think its under their paw.

I have a 4 year old cat that still chases the laser pointer. If I even pick up the keychain that it is on she responds to the noise and gets in ready position to play.

As I'm sure you know....just be careful not to point near their eyes.

Keep the laser....it should be a fun toy for many years to come!

My cats also love the laser. One of them will jump up the wall after it. He jumped as high as the light switch one time. Mine do the same thing with a flashlight too. If I am looking for something with the flashlight I have cats trying to chase the light beam!

Thanks for all your input guys, I won't worry anymore. He's meowing at it now, so he does seem a little frustrated, but at least he stops looking for it sooner now.

wtpooh - He is also starting to look for the light when he hears the keychain.

It's so funny to watch him because he's a little uncoordinated, so he stumbles and falls and runs into stuff (not hard). What's weird is that it's usually his sister that chases stuff, but she just sits there and watches him. I can't get her to go after it very much.

Bye!
