I have plenty of cats. And when I go to college (in two years!) I want to take 4 with me. You know, I've fallen in love with them and leaving them (because they're such a normal part of my everyday life!) is going to be hard.
My question: are there any college dorms that allow cats?? I looking at Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and possibly Montana.
Please assist!
Thank You so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good question, I have no idea but Im thinking probably not. If not, maybe you can get a couple of roomates and rent an apartment that allows cats?
I think its great that your planning so far ahead. At least you'll be aware of your options when the time comes.

That is some planning ahead. Most likely dorms won't allow pets at all. BUT I kept 2 cats for about a year without them noticing. It was not until the end of the year when some maintainence guy went into my room to check the smoke detector (I was in class at the time) found out I had cats. The Resident Assistant warned me and said she would talk to the director and see what to do with me. I was getting ready to be kicked out, but nothing happened, so I kept my kitties anyways. Now I moved out of dorm and have 1 more kitten in my life.

Some schools are more stricter than others. My roomate had a dog for about a whole semester. The maintenance people came and the cleaning people too, and they never said anything about it. But then it all depends. Do you know anyone at the colleges you are going to be applying to? maybe you can ask them? I know its hard because I had to leave my puppies at home with my parents since they belong to the family, But I have 2 cats now that I adopted. I live in college affiliated apartments that 'in writing' do not allow pets but literally every 4 rooms own some type of pet.
