He may not be suffering now but do you really want to take the chance that something will develop? If your sure he is limping and is tender I would get a basic examination done at the Vet. Shop around and tell them you don't have a lot of money, I'm sure you can find a reasonable place for a check-up.

Do you have any vet schools around you? Sometimes they will do very low cost exams to help their students learn.

I was told never to give an animal human medicine.
I mean, I am glad your kitty is okay, but .. I am not sure that it's good for him/her to be taking Advil.

Hi Bugaboo

How can you tell if hes suffering or not? I have a cat who a few months ago broke his leg in half (both bones snapped, dangling end, not pretty), and he just sat there smiling at me waiting for his dinner.

Cats are by their nature VERY good at hiding pain. Take the above postee's advice and find someone to look at his leg.

Yours
Greypaw

You can give animals some human medicines, depends on the medicine so check with your vet. My dog takes hydroxyzine for allergies which is a human medicine and you can get at people pharmacies, dogs can also take benadryl. You just never know what they can and can't have, so I check with my vet first.
