Hello everyone,
I have a 13 year old siamese cat. My problem is that she is not eating. She stopped eating her raguler food Friskies special diet canned and her dry food about one week ago. She shows no signs of pain and acts normal. She will eat something of mine when I give it to her, but not as much as before. I changed canned food type and she did eat a little. If she does eat it will only be for a couple minutes. Her breath is bad, but always has been. She is down from 10 pounds to 8 pounds. I am going to take her to the vet, but not sure how. I am the only person she has been with and never goes outside. I am going to get a carrier. She can get very angry and I know she will when I take her to the vet. Any replies will be helpfull. Also what would be the best way to take her to the vet with as little stress as possible. The last time she has been there is about 8-10 years ago.
Thank You.

Sounds like a trip to the vet is a must.
Older cats can suffer from a range of illnesses that are very serious, however if she will eat somethings it could be that she has had something that disagrees with her and has made her stomach sore. try giving her plain boiled rice with some tuna or chicken broken up in it.
It is also important she drinks, if she is still drinking from her bowl then dissolve a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of sugar in it, this should keep her hydrated.

Just an update. I took my cat to the vet a couple days afetr I put in the first post. The vet said that when cats get as old as mine thay sometimes slow down on eating. He said 10 pounds is way overweight for a siamese. He said she may have done it to lose a little. She is now at 8 punds and eating well. He gave me some oral meds in case she had a throat infection. Everything is going good now.
