I have a 5 week old kitten who is dying and I haven't any idea on how to help him. He's so lethargic, has diarrhea, can't really stand up on his own any longer and his breathing is so labored. Please anyone...what can I do to make him as comfortable as possible? I really don't think he's going to make it. The vet really didn't have any answers as to why this is happening. He's one of six from a cat that was only 10 months when she gave birth. She had six and so far only 3 including the sickly one have made it. I feel so helpless!

The only thing you can do is get your kittens to the vet. It sounds like they have picked up some kind of intestinal infection or a virus. They need urgent medical care to get them rehydrated to give them any chance but sadly it sounds like it will be too late for the one that is poorly at the minute.
I would take him to be put to sleep as he is suffering and that is unfair on one so small. If you must keep him until he goes then put him in a quiet room with a hot water bottle or a sun lamp, make sure he has plenty to drink, and hopefully he will take some.

If your cat is acting drunk, it's probably ingested anti-freeze, in which case you have to catch and treat it within 12 hours or it's not going to survive. After about 24 hours, the cat will act normal again, and seem fine, but it soon has organ failure and dies.

Otherwise, I have no idea. I'm sorry and I hope it is just gas or something.

Good luck & love.
