I once had a pet that had some type of rash and would pull her hair out. It was actually more of a chewing, but nevertheless she was leaving spots of herself bare. After taking her to the vet, we learned that she was having an allergic reaction to specific ingredients in her food, and that she had to adhere to a rather specific diet. She's been doing great since. I'm not sure if your cat would have an allergic reaction, but she may have a skin condition. Why not take her to the vet? It's always better to be safe than sorry, and it's always better to alleviate their discomfort as quick as possible. IP: Logged |

My kitty did the same thing b/c of flea allergy dermatitis. Once I got rid of the fleas she stopped pulling her hair out. Sometimes they need cortizone to control the allergies. IP: Logged |
