it seems that my cat has a puking problem, sometimes it's like she has a hairball and sometimes it's like she's puking up food she just ate....she only does this on my bed during the day when I am at work (third time in the past week)....all of the rest of the time she seems normal...i plan to take her to the vet as soon as i can get in but was wondering if anyone had experienced this before??

There are several over the counter hairball remedies such as Laxatone or Laxaire. You may also try a pet food geared towards reducing hairballs (Science Diet now makes one) as long as your pet does not have any dietary restrictions.

Beside the diet and hairball remedy, don't give milk so it doesn't sour internally, just in case it has been given accidentally. Cats can't process it. Also, watch the bowels, see if any mucous in it,much flatulence, foul smell to it/sour-like or sweet, and watery at times. The underlying problem can be IBD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It causes an array of symptomology affecting pancreas, stomach, liver, which can mimic other disease states such as diabetes, pancreatitis, and goes undiagnosed. Best wishes.
