Boxer dogs are an all around great breed, especially skilled in hunting and police work, and are always alert and vigilant, making for a very instinctive guard dog. Boxer dogs can bring you years of joyful companionship with a life expectantcy of about 9 to 11 years, but they could possibly live as long as 15 years! Boxer dogs have a short, smooth coat, that comes in the basic colors of brindle & fawn. The fawn color can vary from tawny tan to a beautiful shade of stag red. Whereas the color brindle, can sometimes be sparse or in between, or dense. One of the beauty standards for boxer dogs is their white markings or "flash" and it adds to their look and usually doesn't cover more than one third of their entire body.
