The Australian Cattle Dog Club (ACDC) of Western Australia was formed in July 1978 with the aim of promoting the breed and informing people of the value and versatility of this Australian working dog. The ACD is a dog of which Australians can be justly proud and which is comparable to other great working breeds. The Club aims to promote the breed, particularly the versatility of the ACD. Whilst they were originally bred to work cattle (and still do today) Australian Cattle Dogs make wonderful pets, and are extremely loyal, protecting their masters and possessions in a very devoted manner.
