First off, she's 15, no young kitty. So, my suggestion would be to take her on short 5 min trips a few times, then increase it to 10 mins, then 15, etc. Give her a favorite toy or 2, and a treat afterwards. Put some towels on the bottom of the kennel, no food. When I moved animals we'd use Acepromazine from my vet to calm them, and this was used also after surgeries as on Dobie's ears to keep them calm and not attack the ear. There are natural remedies in some herbs, might want to try that. All in all, leave the cat in the kennel when travelling, firm rule. Let it howl. Run some soft music. Time will tell if this kitty will adapt. Good luck.
