Message Body:
I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful cat. They are our best friends and to lose them under such awful circumstances is even more terrible. I too never knew for so long that indeed one need not put an animal under anesthesia to clean teeth, however much a vet leads you to believe this must be so. I did not lose and animal, as I cancelled the appt before hand and now use pet toothpaste. You know, it only makes sense too, as we aren't put under general anesthesia for our teeth to be cleaned. Thanks for putting this for others to learn from, we do so much believe in vets on everything, and now, it allows us to question the action. Again, I am sorry for this loss, God bless.
